Gold Strike appoints new executive chef
Robert Franklin oversees restaurant development, menu planning
TUNICA — Gold Strike Casino Resort has appointed Robert Franklin as executive chef. Franklin will oversee menu planning and development operations for Gold Strike’s four restaurants.
With more than 40 years of experience, Franklin brings a depth of culinary knowledge, ranging from fine dining, restaurants and management to specialty catering services.
“Robert’s skill and acumen will continue to distinguish Gold Strike at the forefront of culinary destinations,” Gold Strike General Manager Dean Rubin said. “With a rich background in management and diverse culinary skills, his artistry will continue to redefine the dining experience for each of our guests.”
Chef Franklin’s vast expertise draws
from previous positions both as an
executive chef and as a manager of
restaurant operations, including his 11-
year tenure at Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Beyond mastering his craft in restaurants, bistros, exclusive clubs and bakeries throughout the South, his immense culinary background also includes two years studying regional cuisines from Milan, the Italian Alps, Bologna and Regio Emilio in Milano, Lombardi.
When preparing his exquisite menus, Franklin incorporates his knowledge of American cuisine while drawing from his strong international food background, including Cajun, Cuban, French, German, Indian, Italian, Moroccan, Swiss and Thai
cuisine.
