Pearl River Resort highlights ice cream spots
CHOCTAW — In honor of July being National Ice Cream Month, Pearl River Resort has the scoop on the popular ice cream spots at the property. A volunteer taste-tester team was happy to visit every location where ice cream can be found and, after a brain-freezing investigation, created this list of favorites.
• The Dippin’ Dots Station at Geyser Falls Water Theme Park has that unique texture and fun that kids and adults love, especially on a hot summer day after splashing in the water.
• The Gelato Station at The Bakery is a popular stop. Don’t let the French name fool you, gelato is ice cream. Gelato has less fat and air than American ice cream. It is denser and more flavorful.
• The Buffet’s dessert station at Silver Star Casino puts you in total control. Whether in a cone or a bowl, chocolate, vanilla, or swirled together, you can get your fill, and with toppings!
• The Club House Restaurant at Dancing Rabbit Golf Course keeps it simple with ice cream bars, because golfers are on the go. • On the dessert menu at Mama ‘N’ Em Restaurant, guests at Golden Moon will find a traditional Southern favorite —
warmed peach cobbler with tea biscuits and vanilla ice cream.
• STATS Sports Bar & Grill at Silver Star Casino has a staff choice: the Mud Slide specialty drink. It starts with a base of both vanilla and chocolate ice cream and is then topped with

a blend of vodka, Bailey’s Irish Cream and Kahlua.
• Phillip M’s at Silver Star Casino has cool and frosty choices that include pineapple upside down cake served with cherry ice cream, Mississippi mud cake made with chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream topped with marshmallow fluff, and the Gateau Riche, a
homemade vanilla ice cream in an almond brittle shell, topped with chocolate, strawberry and caramel sauce, whipped cream and chopped pecans.
