TUNICA — Casinos in Tunica continue to add headline en- tertainment, including The Oak Ridge Boys and Martina McBride. Jackpot! takes a look at performers now scheduled to appear.
Fitz Casino & Hotel welcomes The Oak Ridge Boys on Sat- urday, June 4, at 8 p.m. The Oak Ridge Boys are famous for produc- ing some of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the mu- sic industry. The four-part harmonies and upbeat songs of The Oak Ridge Boys have spawned dozens of Country hits and a No. 1 pop smash, earned them Grammy, Dove, CMA, and ACM awards and garnered a host of other industry and fan accolades. Every time they step before an audience, the Oaks bring four decades of charted singles, and 50 years of tradition, to a stage show widely acknowl- edged as among the most exciting anywhere. Their string of hits includes the Country-Pop chart-topper “Elvira,” as well as “Bobbie Sue,” “Dream On,” “Thank God For Kids,” “American Made,” “I Guess It Never Hurts To Hurt Sometimes,” “Fancy Free,” “Gonna Take A Lot Of River” and many others.

• At Gold Strike Casino Resort, see The Temptation on Sat- urday, June 18, at 9 p.m. The legendary Motown vocal group, The Temptations, are known for songs such as “My Girl,” “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” and many more.
Celebrating their 60th Anniversary through 2022, The Tempta- tions released a brand-new album, Temptations 60, with nearly all- original songs, and not only is the group stopping at Gold Strike on its U.S tour in 2022, but will also be touring abroad in this fall. Dr. Otis Williams, the sole surviving, original member of The Tempta- tions, turned 80 on October 30 of 2021.
Country music star Jimmie Allen performs at Gold Strike, Friday, July 8. Allen’s first official single, “Best Shot,” released in early 2018, was the second most-added song to country music radio playlists. It hit the Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, and Billboard Hot 100
charts and was made into a music video. His debut album, Mercury Lane, was issued in October. 2018. “Best Shot” was a Number One hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in November 2018, mak- ing him the first black artist to send his debut single to the top of that chart. The album’s second single, “Make Me Want To,” released to country radio in early 2019 and hit Number One on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
In 2020, Allen released “This Is Us,” a duet with Noah Cyrus. A second single was “Freedom Was a Highway,” a duet with Brad Paisley, which was released on Feb. 1, 2021. It became Allen’s third Number One hit and Paisley’s 20th.
Allen became the first black solo performer to win New Male Artist of the Year at the 2021 ACM Awards, where he also per- formed a duet with Brad Paisley.

• Horseshoe Tunica welcomes Martina McBride to Tunica. The country music superstar performs at Horseshoe on Saturday, June 11. McBride has 14 studio albums, two greatest hits compila- tions, one “live” album, as well as two additional compilation al- bums. Eight of her studio albums and two of her compilations have an RIAA Gold certification, or higher.
In the U.S., McBride has sold more than 14 million albums. In addition, she has won the Country Music Association’s “Female Vo- calist of the Year” award four times (tied with Reba McEntire for the third-most wins) and the Academy of Country Music’s “Top Fe- male Vocalist” award three times. McBride is also a 14-time Gram- my Award nominee. Hit songs include “I Love You,” “A Broken Wing,” “Wrong Again,” “Blessed,” “Wild Angels,” “This One’s For The Girls,” “Anyway,” “Independence Day” and many more.
