Country music greats come to Tunica
 TUNICA — Casinos in Tunica continue to add headline en- tertainment, including Tracy Lawrence, Deana Carter, Phil Vassar, Little Feat, and Vicki Lawrence. Jackpot! takes a look at performers now scheduled to appear.
• At Gold Strike Casino Resort, the casino has announced headliners that will be appearing in the near future, including coun- try music star Tracy Lawrence, as well as Phil Vassar and Deana Carter in “The Coming Home for Christmas Tour.” Lisa McClow- ry will also be appearing at Gold Strike in “The Beat Goes On” Tribute to Cher on Friday, Oct. 14. McClowry, an award-winning singer/songwriter, recording artist
and producer, portrays of “The Goddess of Pop” in a one-woman Broadway-style live stage show.

Little Feat will kick off December at Horseshoe with its Waiting
for Columbus Tour. The band’s brilliant musicianship transcends boundaries, uniting California rock, funk, folk, jazz, country, rocka- billy, and New Orleans swamp boogie into a rich gumbo. The Dixie Chicken album, released 50 years ago, is considered the band’s land- mark release that continues to resonate today. The title track is a signature song and helped define the Little Feat sound.

Vassar’s hits include “Carlene,” “That’s When I Love You,” “Words Are Your Wheels,” “This is God,” “In Read Love,” “Last Day of My Life,” and “The Woman in My Life.” Other hits include “Love is a Beautiful Thing,” and more. Carter hits include the Bill- board No. 1 hit “Strawberry Wine” as well as “We Danced Anyway,” “How Did I Get Here,” “Once Upon a December,” “Count Me In,” and more.
• Horseshoe Tunica welcomes Chris Tucker, Friday, Nov. 11, and Little Feat in the Waiting For Columbus Tour, Friday, Dec. 2. Chris Tucker is an International Award-winning actor, producer, and comedian, best known for his role of Detective James Carter in the “Rush Hour” blockbuster franchise. Coming soon to Fitz Casino: See soul singer J-Wonn on Satur- day, Nov. 26, at 8 p.m., starting at $30. Jawonn Smith, better known by his stage name J-Wonn, is a soul singer that hails from Jackson, Mississippi, and has built a name for himself following the release of his hit single, “I Got This Record.” During high school, he was a member of a hip hop group that also included elements of R&B. The group gained an artist development deal and it helped Smith to learn a lot about navigating the music industry. It also gave him an opportunity to grow as an artist. J-Wonn followed up “I Got This Record” with several other hits that were in continuous rotation on Southern Soul radio stations across the Southeast region. He has also won several awards from various outlets including Best Enter- tainer, Artist Of The Year, and Best New Single. His new single, “Move On,” is from his latest full-length album, The Legacy.
