MISSISSIPPI — Presidents’ Day, officially known as Washington’s Birthday, is the third Monday of February each year and is a federal holiday. This year, Presidents’ Day is Feb. 17, and while there may not be any mail this day, casinos across Mississippi have plenty of presidential-size fun.
And, a bit of trivia: Alexander Hamilton and Benjamin Franklin, both who appear on modern currency, were not actually presidents, although they are Founding Fathers. Hamilton appears on the $10 bill, and Franklin is on the $100 bill. For those wondering, George Washington is on the $1 bill, Abraham Lincoln is on the $5 bill and Andrew Jackson is on the $20 bill.
While Presidents’ Day is Monday, Feb. 17, be sure to take note of the dates on the following promotions.
